CVS $3.14 saved $71.47 with coupons & sales

I went to CVS to exchange the tomoato planter for the Topsy Turvy. I read on a coupon message board about how to get free toilet paper at CVS using some vitamin coupons that I had. So, I of course couldn't resist this good deal.

2-Nature's Bounty vitamins (B1G1 sale) 5.99
4-Nature's Bounty vitamins (B1G1 sale) 4.99/ea
3-Cottonelle 12 pk toilet paper 4.99/ea
2-CVS bandaids .99/ea
1-CVS hair conditioner

used 6-$5 Nature's Bounty coupons
used 2-.50 cottonelle coupons
used $1/2 CVS first aid products coupon(coupon scanner)
used $1 CVS hair care product coupon (coupon scanner)

total oop : $3.14

This was a great deal. I paid the tax & only $1 for the 2 boxes of bandaids. The deal works like this. I bought 3 bottles of vitamins (the 3 other bottles were free with the sale) but had $30 in vitamin coupons which created overage to use on the toilet paper making it free. The cashier was new & looked confused but I explained to her that I can use 6 coupons since I bought 6 vitamins even though 3 of the bottles are free with the sale. Luckily the manager was behind me waiting to pay for a drink & spoke up to confirm what I was saying. So, I guess Nature's Bounty paid for my toilet paper. woohoo! Love FREE!

And in case you're wondering-the $71.47 is the total saved on my receipt based on the regualr price of the vitamins & the toilet paper.
The Cottonelle & Bounty is a limit of 3 per household. So the other day I used my CVS card & today I used Mike's card. I may have to see if I can get more vitamin coupons before the sale ends Saturday & get some Bounty this way with his card. Happy Shopping!
