CVS FREE flu shot

So, DH & I decided we needed a flu shot ($29.95). We went to CVS & found out Mike's insurance won't cover our flu shots. :( So, plan B- This past week (ended today 9/11-1 per card), CVS had a deal to get a free flu shot when you buy certain items ($30 total) in their sale paper. So, I searched for some coupons to make for an even better deal. For DH's (his card) I bought:
2- Prevacid 24hr. 14ct. $10/ea
1- Theraflu warming cold medicine $5
1- Triaminic Children's Cough & cold $5
2- Starburst candies .50/ea (kids were with us)
used (2) $4 Prevacid Q's, (1) $2 Theraflu Q, (1) $1 Triaminic Q
Total oop: $22.08
receipt printed with the coupon for a free flu shot

For my flu shot (my card), I bought:
2-Prevacid 24hr. $10/ea
1-Theraflu cold & cough packets $5
1-Triaminic Children's night time cough & cold $5
used (2) $4 Prevacid Q's, (1) $2 Theraflu Q, (1) $1 Triaminic Q
Total oop: $20.80

So, we saved $77.02 at CVS today & are stocked up on medicines.

2 flu shots ($29.95/each) $59.90
