CVS 8/22

So, I made my early morning trip for paper towels & toilet paper. Not too happy about the oop though. :( I had a scenerio worked out to be under $10, but that got shot all to crap. (lol-good thing I got toilet paper now.)

Here's how it went:

Transaction #1
2-Glade sense & spray $5/each
used 2 $3 Glade coupons
used $4 ecb from yesterday
total oop: $.70 (earned $3 ecb)

Transaction #2
1-Bounty 16 ct paper towels $9.99
1-Charmin 16 ct tiolet paper $12.99
3-Puffs box tissues $.99/each
2-M&M's single bags $.89/each (just because I got a coupon for scanning card)
used $.25 Bounty coupon
used $.25 Charmin coupon
used $.25/3 Puffs coupon
used $.50/2 M&M's coupon
used $3 ecb from T#1 & $7.99 ecb from yesterday
tried to use the 30% off coupon but was told I couldn't because I bought all sale items (ugh! what??) I just paid because the cashier was friendly & patient.
total oop: $16.52
I looked the coupon over when I got to the car & sure enough he was right, "not valid on sale items". Darn! Oh well, I hate my oop total, but we have toilet paper & paper towels! And I earned $10 in ecb's to use next trip.

CVS 8/21

I knew I had to get to CVS tonight to get the good deals for 8/22-8/28. There's so many couponers in my area that the stuff goes fast. Since our CVS starts their sales on Saturday afternoon, I always try to go then to get the deals before they're gone. Sure enough, when I walked through the door I saw the "shelf clearers" at work. The Crest toothpaste was almost gone. Only 3 left so I grabbed my limit of 2.
Here's what I got:

Transaction #1
2-Crest Pro Health toothpaste $3.49/each
2-Listerine mouthwash
1-Reinventing Beauty magazine $.99 (has CVS & mfg coupons in it)

used (2) $.75 Crest coupons
used (2) $2.00 Listerine coupons
used $2.00 & $7.99 ecb's from last week

total oop: $1.58 (earned $4 & $5 ecb's)

Transaction #2
1-Blink Gel Tears eye drops $7.99

used $1.50 Blink coupon
used $5.00 ecb from 1st transaction

total oop: $2.05 (earned $7.99 ecb & still have $4 ecb from t#1 = $11.99)

I wanted to get the P&G buy $25 worth get $10 ecb, but the Bounty was not out yet. So, I plan to make an early trip tomorrow morning when I go to get my morning paper. I also got a 30% off purchase coupon from the card scanner machine. Working of my least oop right now. I'll update tomorrow.

Ladybug cakes & weekly shopping

I made ladybug cakes for my daughter's 5th birthday party. We had a pool party at my in-laws house yesterday. The weather was cloudy & it rained some but we still had a great time.

On to my weekly shopping.
I went to Target Friday for a good deal on Prilosec OTC. My hubby uses it daily so I couldn't pass up a good deal. I bought 2 Prilosec OTC 42 ct. for $49.98, used a $3 coupon & a $2 coupon bringing to total to $45.98. I received 2 $5 gift cards (1 for each box-the current weekly sale) & I submitted for a $10 rebate through the manufacter. So I actually only paid $25.98 for 2 boxes of Prilosec 42 ct.-that's what I would pay for just 1 box.

Bilo-I got $191 worth of groceries for $101.36. I can't find my Bilo list but I used southernsavers.com to make my list & match up my coupons.

Publix-I got $61 worth of stuff for only $11.73. My favorite deals were the Bic Flex 4 & Advance 3 4pk men's razors. On sale B1G1 & I only paid .74 each after coupons. Also, the Finish 32 ct dish detergent gel packs $6.99 B1G1 & I had $2.50 coupons so only $1 per box. I got a raincheck the other day since they were out so I bought more coupons on ebay to use this week with my raincheck.

-$18 rewards check

So, I actually made $0.23 for all the above stuff!
I love rebates!

CVS & Walmart 6/13

I made a quick run to CVS.

Transaction #1
2 Old Spice body washes $4/each

Transaction #2
1 pair kids Tinkerbell sunglasses 6.99
1 pair kids Transformers sunglasses 5.99
-$8 ecb
total oop $5.89, earned $10 ecb

So I paid $10.17 oop & earned $10 ecb to use next trip. So it's like I only paid $.17 for 2 body washes & 2 pr of sunglasses, since I earned the $10 ecb which is store credit.

Now I'm gonna round up my Bounty coupons & use that $10 ecb for the Bounty paper towels that are on sale this week.

Next, Walmart. Just a quick trip for my $.98 newspapers.

2-Greenville newspapers $.98 each
1-Stayfree 32 ct. bonus pack pads $2.26

I love CVS! 5/23 trip

CVS $3.14 saved $71.47 with coupons & sales

I went to CVS to exchange the tomoato planter for the Topsy Turvy. I read on a coupon message board about how to get free toilet paper at CVS using some vitamin coupons that I had. So, I of course couldn't resist this good deal.

2-Nature's Bounty vitamins (B1G1 sale) 5.99
4-Nature's Bounty vitamins (B1G1 sale) 4.99/ea
3-Cottonelle 12 pk toilet paper 4.99/ea
2-CVS bandaids .99/ea
1-CVS hair conditioner

used 6-$5 Nature's Bounty coupons
used 2-.50 cottonelle coupons
used $1/2 CVS first aid products coupon(coupon scanner)
used $1 CVS hair care product coupon (coupon scanner)

total oop : $3.14

This was a great deal. I paid the tax & only $1 for the 2 boxes of bandaids. The deal works like this. I bought 3 bottles of vitamins (the 3 other bottles were free with the sale) but had $30 in vitamin coupons which created overage to use on the toilet paper making it free. The cashier was new & looked confused but I explained to her that I can use 6 coupons since I bought 6 vitamins even though 3 of the bottles are free with the sale. Luckily the manager was behind me waiting to pay for a drink & spoke up to confirm what I was saying. So, I guess Nature's Bounty paid for my toilet paper. woohoo! Love FREE!

And in case you're wondering-the $71.47 is the total saved on my receipt based on the regualr price of the vitamins & the toilet paper.
The Cottonelle & Bounty is a limit of 3 per household. So the other day I used my CVS card & today I used Mike's card. I may have to see if I can get more vitamin coupons before the sale ends Saturday & get some Bounty this way with his card. Happy Shopping!

used all coupons above + 16.99 ecbs from Transaction #1 + other $15 ecb for online survey.
Total oop: $6.63

It was more oop than I meant to pay. I thought the scanner coupon for the first aid items was for $2 instead of $1, and I miscalculated somewhere. I was thinking $3-4 oop. But still good for all that toilet paper & paper towels.

$65.14 total in products for only $7.21

Another BiLo trip 5/4

Hubby sent me back to BiLo for more chicken breast (.89/lb) since today is the last day of the sale.

I got 3 packs of chicken breasts for $4 & some change each. There was a coupon on each pack for $1 off Velveeta shells & cheese box so I got 3 boxes for $.99/each. Then when I paid I got a catalina register coupon for $2 off my next purchase for purchasing 3 boxes of Velveeta. So I could think of it as actually only paying $.97 for 3 boxes of shells & cheese. My kinda shopping. :)

BiLo 5/4

I didn't get the meal deal when I bought groceries at BiLo the other day. But over the weekend, I found $1.50 coupon on the Mystic Pizza to make the meal deal a good deal. The sale goes off today, so Bri & I headed to BiLo this morning.

Meal Deal:
2-Cheese Mystic Pizzas (used 2-$1.50 off coupons)

FYI: I guess we bought some durable eggs. Bri knocked the carton out of the buggy, they landed on the hard floor & not a single egg broke. She said, "we got some good eggs!"

Another Walgreen's Trip

Well- I went back to Walgreen's hoping they'd restocked. No such luck. There's too many couponers in my area, so when they do restock it gets wiped out right away. But I really wanted the take advantage of the 5- 12 pks Coke for $13. I bought 5- 12 pks Coke, 1- 12 big rolls Cottonelle toilet paper, roll of aluminum roll, & 2 duck bubble necklaces. I paid $14.57 (I used the $4 RR I had from yesterday along w/ a mfg. Cottonelle Q, a store Cottonelle Q, aluminum foil Q & the Coke Q from their sale paper. Still not a bad deal on all that Coke.

I had a scenerio worked out with very little out of pocket money but when they're out of stuff, it's makes it hard. And, I personally don't have the time to run out & back to Walgreen's to see if they restock. From past experience, the store I go to either don't restock or the other couponers are there daily like vultures.

Well, it was a very busy week at school. I didn't have a lot of time to get lots of good deals this week. I did go to Ingles on Saturday morning. I got 1 pack ground chuck on sale for 1.78/lb, 1 pk chicken tenders on sale 1.88/lb, bananas .59/lb, Nilla wafers 1.50 box. I got a few other things not on sale since we were having a cookout & I didn't have time to run to different stores for the best prices. I went back to Ingles last night before the sales ended for more ground chuck-ALL GONE-but I was able to get 4 boxes of cereal for $4, 2-6 pk Nestle waters for .50/pk, 3 boxes of Mueller's pasta for 1.00 & 2 gal. Edy's ice cream for .98/ea (used coupons for all items & they were on sale.)

My plans this week are to get a spiral ham at BiLo & have them price match Ingles price of 1.68/lb so I can get the bonus .10/gal fuel perks. I'm also planning a few CVS & Walgreen's deals to get back into getting the free ECB & RR deals. And, of course I'll be busy studying for a Chemistry test, English research paper, Biology journal article paper, & kids are on spring break & will be at home w/ dad this week so I'll have to take over when I get home after classes everyday. Have a good week all! I'll update my deals at the end of the week.

Well-It's NEW Moon DVD release day! Woohoo!
I'm just really getting back into couponing. I'll start posting my deals here. I'll try to add pics next time.
Bri & I went to Publix Wed. & got a few good deals.
Can't find the receipt right now. But I got $168.00 worth of groceries for $94.64. Not one of my best trips but I did get some good deals.
Happy Saturday & enjoy the beautiful weather today!

Valentine's crafts

Well, I'm finally gonna post our Valentine's crafts that I've been promising.

Busy Mom's Bible

I registered for a FREE Busy Mom's Bible a few moths ago. I had forgotten all about until I received it in the mail today. I've already sat down & read some of it. What a great bible for mom's. I'm very impressed with the style of it. Very pretty & I love the devotions. I was so thrilled that I just have to show it off to my family & friends.

Okay-so I started my blog about a month ago, but I haven't posted anything yet. I'm currently a full time student majoring in nursing. I've just been so busy with school & taking care of my family lately. I haven't had much time to enjoy the things I like doing. I've done a few projects recently that I'll try to get posted soon.
